Every year, the Go team reaches out to the global community of Gophers to gather insights that shape the evolution of the language. The 2025 Go Developer Survey is now open, and your participation directly influences the tools, features, and priorities that the team works on next. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to take part—from locating the survey to sharing your feedback responsibly.

Find the official survey link
The survey is hosted by the Go team. Access it directly from the official announcement on the Go Blog (the same page you’re reading now). Look for the clickable link that says “You can take the survey here.” Bookmark or open it immediately so you don’t lose it.
Tip: The survey closes on September 30, 2025, so don’t wait too long. If you’ve already completed it, you’re done—skip to Step 5 to share the survey with others. -
Set aside enough time
The survey is designed to take between 10 and 20 minutes. While every question is optional, thoughtful responses help the team better understand your needs. Find a quiet moment where you won’t be interrupted. You can pause and resume later if needed, but it’s easiest to finish in one sitting. -
Complete the survey honestly
The questions cover your experience with Go, the challenges you face, and what improvements you’d like to see. Answer as candidly as you can. The more details you provide, the more actionable the feedback becomes. Remember: no question is mandatory, so skip any that make you uncomfortable or don’t apply to you. -
Choose whether to share your raw data
At the end of the survey, you will be asked for permission to include your responses in a public dataset. This is an opt-in choice—similar to the Go Telemetry system. If you consent, your anonymized answers will be released alongside the aggregated results, allowing the entire community to analyze them. If you decline, your responses will be used only in the summarized report and never shared individually. -

After completing the survey, submit it.
